LADDERS

Our newly-redesigned side-mount ladders for mining trucks and other mobile assets are proving extremely popular. A number of our corporate customers are outfitting their entire fleets with our two-step and three-step models.

We offer standard ladders constructed from 1/2″ belting and, for those situations where additional durability is required, we have a heavy-duty option that features 5/8″ belting. We credit the success of our ladders to three defining features.

1. Tough

DBA ladders are fashioned from three-ply rubber belting and industrial-strength steel treads that we weld and powder coat in-house. Many of the ladders available in the marketplace are rigid assemblies with hinges. These devices typically work well to start, but they often twist or break the first time they’re left down during operation. Other ladder designs incorporate steel cables and, although these units are usually able to survive contact with a berm, they still tend to bend and warp. Our ladders, on the other hand, are specifically engineered to withstand the rigours of mine sites. When they collide with an unyielding surface in the field, they flex and then return immediately to their original shape.

2. Modular

DBA ladders feature a relatively simple design with interchangeable components. This means that, if a DBA ladder does get damaged, repairing it is a quick and easy process. It also means that customization is straightforward. We’ve found that mine sites running Komatsu trucks order our two-step ladders because their vehicles tend to sit a bit lower. Caterpillar trucks – meanwhile – sit higher, and so customers with Cat fleets have historically purchased our three-step units. It doesn’t take long, however, to convert a two-stepper to a three-stepper. Or vice versa. You could even put together a four-stepper, and we can also customize any of of our ladder parts if specific dimensions are required.

3. Inexpensive

All the components we manufacture are competitive from a pricing perspective, but our ladders offer cost savings notable even for us. This is likely one of the many reasons that our welders are working overtime to keep up with the demand for this equipment.
