CLAMPS
We stock five types of clamps in our shipping facility, each for a different application. There are three attributes commonly associated with clamps from DBA Silencing.
1. Suitability
It’s critical, when you’re installing parts on a vehicle as powerful and enormous as a modern mining truck, to ensure that every component is securely fastened in place. We carry a full range of clamp sizes at DBA, and this is important because ill-fitting clamps can cause all sorts of headaches. As we explain in our blog post “DBA Exhaust System Maintenance“, a single loose V-Band clamp can cause a cascade effect that compromises an entire exhaust system.
2. Reliability
On rare occasions, we receive reports from customers detailing problems with particular parts. We of course work to resolve these issues immediately, and we mention this only because we almost never receive reports about clamps. DBA Silencing clamps are high-quality units that simply do not fail in the field.
3. Efficacy
DBA clamps are designed for a specific purpose, and they perform their role in an admirable manner virtually 100% of the time. That said, we do sometimes throw clamp accessories into the mix. DBA is alone in offering composite clamp covers that prevent clamped connections from acting as a weak point in fire prevention systems. Our clamp covers feature a rigid composite shell and several layers of heat-resistant insulation.
