RUBBER HUMP HOSE & ELBOWS
Hump hoses are connector components that perform a variety of functions. At DBA Silencing, we use rubber hump hoses and rubber elbows to link up different sections of our air intake systems. Should you decide to purchase these units from us, you can expect the following.
1. An Appropriate Fit
We stock an extensive array of hump hoses at our headquarters in Port Alberni. They range in size from 5” to 14”. Standard hump hoses link air intake pipes of the same diameter; reducing hump hoses, meanwhile, connect components of different sizes. We also carry rubber elbows. These are similar to hump hoses but, as you’d imagine, they have a bend. The DBA storeroom contains quantities of 45 degree and 90 degree rubber elbows and, as with the hump hoses, there are both standard and reducing options. Many of the hump hoses and rubber elbows we offer for sale are difficult to locate elsewhere. This is because we’ve invested in custom dies that enable us to produce components that few others are manufacturing.
2. Unparalleled Performance
It’s important that your mining truck’s air intake units are functioning properly. The same can be said for your hump hoses and elbows. If these components are compromised, grit can enter the system. And particles entering your engine can dramatically shorten its life. For this reason, we utilize high-grade rubber in our hump hoses and elbows. We also add ribbing to our elbows for stiffening purposes. Unribbed elbows can collapse under certain circumstances, cutting off air to the engine of your mining truck and causing it to stall.
3. A Reasonable Outlay
DBA parts are known for not breaking the bank, and our rubber hump hoses and rubber elbows are similar to our other components in this regard. These units are cost-effective up front and they also help save money in the long run by keeping your fleets in good health. We explore this topic further in our blog post “Minimizing Downtime With Quality Truck Parts“.
